The Landing was first established in 1929, and the family-owned and operated campground has been running since 1957\. From camping to crabbing to boating, there are so many activities to enjoy. Lawson's Landing is in the northwestern corner of Marin County, 50 miles north of San Francisco and 20 miles west of Petaluma at Dillon Beach. The famous boathouse and camping area face the Pacific Ocean to the west. Tomales Bay is to the south. The address is 137 Marine View Dr, Dillon Beach, Ca. 94929 --- ## **The Campground** It is a large campground with ample space. There are no sewer or electrical hook-ups. Potable water is widely available around the camp sites. Each site has a picnic table and a fire ring. The staff was very friendly and they keep the campground very clean. Every morning we had company for breakfast. This campground is an excellent place for families with kids. Even though there were lots of families, it was quiet on our visit. It also has an assortment of coastal-type Christmas ornaments and gifts. If you decide to visit, make sure you pack layers and bring a jacket. The days are chilly, and the evenings are very damp and slightly drizzled. We caught enough crab for a crab boil at dinner. It was a lot of fun. One of our group members brought a snackle box. I thought it was a genius idea. It is a mobile charcuterie/snack case.
